oPt Humanitarian Fund (oPt HF) – Monthly Update

During December 2019, the occupied Palestinian territory Humanitarian Fund (oPt HF) had a total of 63 ongoing projects, for a total of US$ 28.1 million, addressing urgent needs in the Gaza Strip (72 per cent) and West Bank (28 per cent). Projects focus on the areas of Education, Food Security, Health, Protection, Emergency Shelter & NFI, and WASH. Of these, 34 projects are being implemented by international NGOs, 21 projects by national NGOs, seven projects by UN agencies and one project by organization of the Red Crescent Movement. Of the 41 projects implemented by INGOs or the UN, 30 are being implemented in partnership with NNGOs.

During November 2019, the occupied Palestinian territory Humanitarian Fund (oPt HF) had a total of 66 ongoing projects, for a total of US$ 29.4 million, addressing urgent needs in the Gaza Strip (73 per cent) and West Bank (27 per cent). Projects focus on the areas of Education, Food Security, Health, Protection, Emergency Shelter & NFI, and WASH. Of these, 34 projects are being implemented by international NGOs, 22 projects by national NGOs, nine projects by UN agencies and one project by organization of the Red Crescent Movement. Of the 43 projects implemented by INGOs or the UN, 31 are being implemented in partnership with NNGOs.

Of these, 16 projects are being implemented by international NGOs, 15 projects by national NGOs, seven projects by UN agencies and one project by organization of the Red Crescent Movement. Of the 23 projects implemented by INGOs or the UN, 13 are being implemented in partnership with NNGOs.
