oPt Humanitarian Fund (oPt HF) – Monthly Update

During August 2019, the occupied Palestinian territory Humanitarian Fund (oPt HF) had a total of 45 ongoing projects, for a total of US$ 21.2 million, addressing urgent needs in the Gaza Strip (77 per cent) and West Bank (23 per cent). Projects focus on the areas of Education, Food Security, Health, Protection, Emergency Shelter & NFI, and WASH. Of these, 20 projects are being implemented by international NGOs, 18 projects by national NGOs and seven projects by UN agencies. Of the 27 projects implemented by INGOs or the UN, 16 are being implemnted in partnership with NNGOs.

Projects focus on the areas of Education, Food Security, Health, Protection, Emergency Shelter & NFI, and WASH. Of these, 20 projects are being implemented by international NGOs, 19 projects by national NGOs and seven projects by UN agencies. Of the 27 projects implemented by INGOs or the UN, 16 are being done in partnership with NNGOs.

A total of 16 of the projects implemented by international organizations are in partnership with national NGOs.
