oPt Humanitarian Fund (oPt HF) – Monthy Update

  • December - 2013

    Since the beginning of 2013, ERF in OPT has received 30 project proposals for a total amount of US$ 6.1 million. 21 projects have been approved and funded to address needs for Wash, Health & Nutrition, Agriculture, Protection and Education for total amount US$ 4 million. Of the projects approved, eight projects were implemented directly by national NGOs, five projects implemented directly by international NGOs, in addition to six projects implemented in partnership between National and International NGOs and two project implemented by UN agencies

  • January - 2014

    Since the beginning of 2014, ERF in OPT has received 30 project proposals in response to humanitarian emergency related to the Winter Storm (Alexa) in December 2013. Of them, 19 projects have been approved to address needs for WASH, Food Security sector and Emergency Shelter & NFI for total amount US$ 4.6 million. Of the projects approved, 13 projects were implemented directly by NNGOs, 3 projects implemented directly by INGOs, in addition to 2 projects implemented in partnership between National and International NGOs and 1 project implemented by UN agency

  • February - 2014

    Since the beginning of 2014, ERF in OPT has received 30 project proposals in response to humanitarian emergency related to the Winter Storm (Alexa) in December 2013. Of them, 22 projects have been approved (3 projects in February) to address needs for WASH, Food Security, Education, and Emergency Shelter & NFI for total amount US$ 4.9 million.

  • March - 2014

    Since the beginning of 2014, ERF in OPT has received 30 project proposals for total amount of US$ 6.8 million. Of them, 23 projects have been approved (1 project in March) to address needs for WASH, Food Security, Education, and Emergency Shelter & NFI for total amount US$ 5.1 million. Of the projects approved, 16 projects were implemented directly by NNGOs, 4 projects implemented directly by INGOs, in addition to 2 projects implemented in partnership between National and International NGOs and 1 project implemented by an UN agency

  • April - 2014

    Since the beginning of 2014, ERF in OPT has received 31 project proposals for a total amount of US$ 7 million (one proposal in April). Of them, 23 projects have been approved to address needs for WASH, Food Security, Education and Emergency Shelter & NFI for total amount US$ 5.1 million. Of the projects approved, 16 projects are being implemented directly by NNGOs, four projects implemented directly by INGOs, in addition to two projects implemented in partnership between National and International NGOs. One project is being implemented by a UN agency.

  • May - 2014

    Since the beginning of 2014, ERF in OPT has received 33 project proposals (one proposal in May) for a total amount of US$ 7.3 million. Of them, 24 projects have been approved to address needs for WASH, Food Security, Education, Health and Emergency Shelter & NFI for total amount US$ 5.35 million. Of the projects approved, 16 projects were implemented directly by NNGOs, four projects implemented directly by INGOs, in addition to two projects implemented in partnership between National and International NGOs and two projects implemented by UN agencies.

  • June - 2014

    Since the beginning of 2014, ERF in OPT has received 36 project proposals (three proposals in June) for a total amount of US$ 7.98 million. Of them, 25 projects have been approved to address needs for WASH, Food Security, Education, Health and Emergency Shelter & NFI for a total amount of US$ 5.59 million. Of the projects approved, 16 projects were implemented directly by NNGOs, five projects implemented directly by INGOs, in addition to two projects implemented in partnership between National and International NGOs and two projects implemented by UN agencies.

  • July - 2014

    Since the beginning of 2014, ERF in OPT has received 63 project proposals for a total amount of US$ 14 million. In July, 20 proposals were submitted to cover urgent gaps in Strategic Response Plan “SRP” in addition to 5 proposals to respond to current Gaza crisis and 2 proposals for other needs. Of them, 31 projects have been approved to address needs for WASH, Food Security, Education, Health and Emergency Shelter & NFI for a total amount of US$ 6.75 million.

  • August - 2014

    Since the beginning of 2014, ERF in OPT has received 85 project proposals for a total amount of US$ 19 million. Of them, 48 projects have been approved to address needs for WASH, Food Security, Education, Protection, Health and Emergency Shelter & NFI for a total amount of US$ 10.7 million. Of the projects approved, 25 projects were implemented directly by NNGOs, 14 projects implemented directly by INGOs, in addition to four projects implemented in partnership between National and International NGOs and five projects implemented by UN agencies.

  • September - 2014

    Since the beginning of 2014, ERF in OPT has received 119 project proposals for a total amount of US$ 26 million. During September, ERF received 34 proposals to respond to the recent Gaza crisis. In 2014 the ERF approved 64 projects to address needs for WASH, Food Security, Education, Protection, Health and Emergency Shelter & NFI for a total amount of US$ 14 million.

  • Since the beginning of 2014, ERF in OPT has received 119 project proposals for a total amount of US$ 26 million. From 8 July, 28 projects for a total of US$ 6.3 million have been approved to address critical needs for WASH (potable water), Food Security (supporting emergency food distribution for IDPs hosted in non UNRWA schools), Education (emergency repairs of damaged schools and KG), Protection (psychosocial response, GVB and UXO clearance), Health and Emergency Shelter and NFI in Gaza Strip during and after the crises.

  • November - 2014

    Since the beginning of 2014, ERF in OPT has received 119 project proposals for a total amount of US$ 26 million. Of the total projects received, 64 projects have been approved to address needs for WASH, Food Security, Education, Protection, Health and Emergency Shelter & NFI for a total amount of US$ 14 million. Of the projects approved, 28 projects were implemented directly by national NGOs, 19 projects implemented directly by international NGOs, in addition to 11 projects implemented in partnership between NNGOs and INGOs and six projects implemented by UN agencies.
