oPt Humanitarian Fund (oPt HF) – Monthly Update

Since the beginning of 2015, HPF in OPT has received 66 project proposals for a total amount of US$ 13 million. 29 projects have been approved to address the urgent needs of Emergency Shelter & NFI, Food Security, WASH, Protection, Health and Education in the West Bank and Gaza Strip for a total amount of US$ 7.2 million. Of the projects approved, 8 projects will be implemented by National NGOs, 20 projects will be implemented by INGOs. Of them, 11 will be implemented in partnership between National and International NGOs and 1 project will be implemented by UN agency.

In January 2016, HPF OPT has 19 ongoing projects addressing urgent needs of Emergency Shelter & NFI,food security, WASH, Education and Protection in the West Bank and Gaza Strip for a total amount of US$ 4.5 million. Of these projects, 14 projects are implemented by INGOs of them, 7 are implemented in partnership between National and International NGOs and another 4 projects are implemented by National NGO and one project is being implemented by UN agency.
