Israeli forces injure around 60 Palestinians in protests and clashes across the West Bank. Three Israeli forces individuals also injured. Israeli forces demolish 16 residential and livelihood structures, displacing 14 people and affecting over 80 others. One Palestinian man sentenced to death by the local authorities in Gaza, allegedly for collaborating with what the court described as a “hostile element”.

Protection of Civilians Weekly Report | 30 April - 6 May 2013
An Israeli settler was stabbed and killed by a Palestinian, triggering a wave of violence, resulting in the injury of 43 Palestinians (by settlers and Israeli forces) and eight settlers (by Palestinians), as well as significant property damage. Israeli forces arrest dozens of settlers blocking Palestinian traffic near Nablus. One civilian was killed and three others injured in UXOs and tunnel-related incidents in the Gaza Strip.

West Bank: demolitions of Palestinian homes and livelihood structures increased this week, leading to the displacement of around 50 people and affecting more than 150 others.
Gaza: In response to firing of rockets by Palestinian armed groups Israeli authorities conducted air strikes in Gaza and temporarily closed Kerem Shalom goods crossing.

Over 100 Palestinians injured in the West Bank in clashes with Israeli forces during demonstrations; over 60 per cent of them were minors.
Some 500 trees and saplings owned by Palestinians were uprooted or damaged across the West Bank. About half of them were damaged by Israeli settlers in various incidents. The other half were uprooted by Israeli authorities on grounds that the area was designated as a “firing zone”.
