Four Israelis settlers shot and killed. 15 Palestinians injured throughout the oPt. In East Jerusalem, clashes erupted in the Silwan neigbourhood. In the West Bank, Israeli violence continues. No demolitions in Area C, however issuance of eviction and stop work orders continues. Age restrictions continue to limit Palestinian access to Ramadan Friday prayers in East Jerusalem. In Gaza, the impact of easing remains limited. Despite some improvement, electricity crisis continues.

Area C Humanitarian Response Plan Fact Sheet
Area C constitutes 62 per cent of West Bank land, though only 1 per cent is planned for Palestinian construction. This fact sheet provides information on the difficulties faced by Palestinians in Area C, stemming from Israeli measures such as restrictive planning policies, demolitions, displacement and access restrictions. The population also suffers from increasing settler violence, water shortage and food insecurity. This fact sheet details the Humanitarian Response Plan put forward by the humanitarian community to meet the urgent needs of the most vulnerable population in Area C.

Four Palestinians injured throughout the oPt. In the West Bank, Israeli violence continues. Building demolished by their owners in East Jerusalem; no demolitions in Area C. Age restrictions limit Palestinian access to Ramadan Friday prayers in East Jerusalem. Thousands of students affected by a shortage of classrooms. In Gaza, Restrictions to sea and land continue. The impact of easing remains limited. Fuel shortage and electricity crisis continue.

The Humanitarian Monitor | July 2010
Six Palestinians were killed in oPt, and 85 others, were injured. July marked the sixth anniversary of ICJ opinion on Barrier, and OCHA and WHO issued a new report highlighting impact of the Barrier on access of people to health services. Israeli authorities stepped up demolitions in several of Area C and East Jerusalem, displacing or otherwise affecting more than 550 Palestinians.Exports and construction material imports remain restricted, but there was an improvement in ability of people to seek medical treatment outside of Gaza.
